Is a Board-Certified Surgeon
Dr. Hopkin honed his oral surgery skills in residency at Indiana University. After becoming a professional surgeon, he continued to elevate his abilities and knowledge. This led to a highly honored distinction — in 2013, Dr. Hopkin earned board certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Board certification denotes an elite level of skill and expertise. To earn board certification, Dr. Hopkin had to pass two rigorous examinations. First, he completed the Qualifying Examination which consists of 300 questions across 10 different surgical specialties. He then passed the Oral Certifying Examination, which tests a candidate's knowledge through 12 different surgical cases.
